What options are available for .NET training in the San Francisco area?

I’ve been using .NET at work for over a year now, mostly for creating plugins and small utilities. My company isn’t tech-focused, so I don’t have many coworkers to turn to for help. I’m the only one doing C# here.

I took a basic C# course in LA before moving to San Francisco. Now I’m looking to level up my skills. Are there any good .NET courses or programs in SF? I’d prefer staying on the peninsula but I’m open to crossing the bay if needed.

My background is in engineering, not computer science, so I’m hoping to find something that can fill in the gaps in my knowledge. Any recommendations for classes, bootcamps, or other learning options would be great!

Has anyone had good experiences with particular schools or programs in the area? I’m especially interested in hands-on courses that can help me improve my practical coding skills.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Hey Luke87! Sounds like you’re on an exciting journey with .NET! Have you considered checking out some of the tech meetups in SF? They’re a great way to connect with other developers and maybe find some study buddies or mentors.

I’ve heard good things about SF.NET User Group - they often have workshops and talks that could be right up your alley. Plus, it’s a chance to network with folks who might be in similar boats or even further along in their .NET careers.

Oh, and have you looked into online platforms like Pluralsight? They’ve got some killer .NET courses you can do at your own pace. Might be a good supplement to in-person training.

What kind of projects are you working on right now? Maybe we could brainstorm some learning resources that align with your current challenges. Always curious to hear what other devs are up to!

Keep us posted on what you end up choosing. The Bay Area tech scene is pretty awesome - I’m sure you’ll find something that fits your needs perfectly!

hey luke, check out tech academy SF. they got some solid .NET courses that r pretty hands-on. i did their advanced c# program last year and it rly leveled up my skills. theyre in SOMA so easy to get to. good luck man!

I’d recommend looking into the .NET training programs offered by Bay Area Tech Institute. They have a comprehensive curriculum that covers both fundamentals and advanced topics in C# and .NET development. Their courses are designed for working professionals, with evening and weekend options available.

What sets them apart is their focus on real-world projects and practical application. You’ll work on building actual applications throughout the course, which should help bridge the gap between theory and practice. They also offer mentorship from experienced developers in the industry.

The institute is located in the Financial District, so it’s easily accessible from most parts of SF. I took their Advanced .NET Development course last year and found it incredibly valuable for enhancing my skills and filling in knowledge gaps. It might be exactly what you’re looking for to take your .NET abilities to the next level.
