Seeking West Coast courses on TDD and .NET Architecture

Hey everyone!

I’m hoping to level up my skills in .NET development. I’m specifically interested in Test Driven Development (TDD) and software architecture. Does anyone know of any good training courses or workshops on the West Coast that cover these topics?

I’ve been looking around but haven’t found anything that really fits the bill. It would be great to find a hands-on course where I can learn best practices and get some real-world experience.

If you’ve attended any courses like this or know of any reputable training companies in the area, I’d love to hear about your experiences. Any recommendations would be super helpful!

Thanks in advance for your suggestions. I’m really excited to dive deeper into these areas and improve my development skills.

I actually attended a fantastic workshop on TDD and .NET architecture in Seattle last year. It was run by CodeCraft Academy and lasted for a week. The instructors were experienced industry professionals who really knew their stuff.

The course was very hands-on, with lots of pair programming exercises and real-world project scenarios. We covered everything from basic unit testing to more advanced architectural patterns. They even had us work on a mini-project throughout the week to apply what we learned.

One thing I particularly appreciated was their focus on clean code and SOLID principles. It really helped me improve the quality of my work. They also covered newer .NET features and how to integrate TDD into CI/CD pipelines.

If you’re willing to travel to Seattle, I’d highly recommend checking out CodeCraft’s offerings. Their courses aren’t cheap, but I found the investment well worth it for the skills and confidence I gained. Hope this helps in your search!

yo surfingwave, check out techEd in LA. they do a sick .NET bootcamp that covers TDD n architecture. its pretty intense but u learn tons. my buddy did it last yr and said it was worth every penny. theyre not cheap but u get what u pay for, ya know? good luck finding smthin that fits!

Hey SurfingWave! :ocean:

I’m on the same boat as you, always looking to sharpen those .NET skills. Have you considered checking out any local tech meetups or user groups? I’ve found some gems that way!

There’s this cool group in San Francisco called ‘Bay Area .NET Developers’ that sometimes hosts workshops. They had a TDD deep dive a few months back that was pretty eye-opening. Might be worth giving them a look?

Also, have you thought about online options? I know you’re after in-person stuff, but I’ve had some great experiences with platforms like Pluralsight. They’ve got some solid .NET architecture courses that you can work through at your own pace.

Just curious - what’s driving your interest in TDD and architecture right now? Any specific projects you’re working on? Always love hearing what other devs are up to!

Keep us posted on what you find. I’m always on the lookout for good training too, so I’d be keen to hear about any hidden gems you discover in your search!
