Hey everyone! I’m gearing up for the CFA Level 1 exam this May. I signed up a few months ago and have made some progress. So far, I’ve tackled Equity Investments and Economics, and I’m about a quarter of the way through Financial Statement Analysis.
I’m looking for some tips on how to tackle the rest of the material. What order would you suggest for the remaining subjects? I find it tough to juggle more than three topics at once.
My work schedule allows me about 3 hours of study time on weekdays, and I have my weekends free. I’m trying to make the most of this time.
Any advice on structuring my study plan or words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated. This exam feels pretty daunting, and I could use some support from those who’ve been through it. Thanks in advance for any help!
hey ExploringOcean, u got this! i’d suggest tackling ethics next, its crucial. then hit up fixed income n derivatives. ur study time looks solid, but maybe try pomodoro technique? 25 min study, 5 min break. helps me stay focused. don’t forget to take breaks n breathe. u’ll crush it!
I’ve been through the CFA Level 1 exam and can share some insights. For the remaining subjects, I’d recommend tackling Ethics next since it’s critical and always included. Then, move on to Fixed Income, followed by Derivatives and Alternative Investments.
Your study schedule looks solid, but incorporating daily practice questions could reinforce your understanding and exam technique. I found that mock exams, especially in the final month, were incredibly helpful in identifying weak areas.
Don’t overlook review sessions—periodically revisiting older topics helps maintain your grasp on the material. With consistent effort, you’ll be well-prepared. Best of luck with your studies.
Hey there, ExploringOcean! Kudos on tackling the CFA Level 1 exam - it’s no small feat! I’m curious, how are you finding the material so far? Any particular areas you’re really enjoying or finding challenging?
Your study schedule sounds pretty solid! Have you thought about maybe breaking up your weekday sessions into smaller chunks? Sometimes I find it helps to do a quick 30-minute review in the morning and then longer sessions in the evening. Just a thought!
I’m wondering, what’s your learning style like? Are you more of a visual learner, or do you prefer audio? There are some great CFA prep videos out there that might help mix things up a bit.
Oh, and don’t forget to take care of yourself during this process! What do you like to do to unwind after a heavy study session? It’s so important to keep a balance, you know?
Keep pushing through - you’ve got this! And hey, if you ever need a study buddy or just someone to vent to about the exam, feel free to reach out. We’re all in this together!
