Looking for .NET training options in the Bay Area

Hey everyone! I’m fairly new to .NET programming and I’m trying to level up my skills. I’ve been using C# at work for about a year now, mostly for making plugins and small tools. The thing is, I’m kind of on my own here since not many people at my company do this stuff.

I took a basic course in LA before, but now that I’m in San Francisco, I’m wondering if there are any good places to learn more about .NET around here. I’d like to stay in the city if possible, but I’m open to options nearby too. Any recommendations for classes or bootcamps? Thanks!

I’ve been in your shoes, looking to enhance .NET skills in the Bay Area. Have you considered UC Berkeley Extension? They offer a comprehensive .NET programming course that covers both fundamentals and advanced topics. It’s a bit of a commute from SF, but the quality of instruction is top-notch.

Another option worth exploring is Bay Area Video Coalition (BAVC). While they’re known more for media-related courses, they occasionally run .NET workshops that are quite practical and hands-on.

Don’t overlook community colleges either. City College of San Francisco sometimes offers .NET courses at a fraction of the cost of bootcamps.

Lastly, check out local user groups like Silicon Valley .NET User Group. They often host talks and workshops that can be incredibly insightful, especially for someone with your level of experience. Plus, it’s a great way to network with other .NET developers in the area.

Hey there, fellow .NET enthusiast!

Welcome to the Bay Area! It’s awesome that you’re looking to level up your C# skills. Have you checked out any of the tech meetups in SF? They can be a great way to network and learn from other developers.

I’m curious, what kind of projects are you hoping to work on with your expanded .NET knowledge? That might help narrow down the best training options for you.

As for formal training, have you considered online courses? I’ve heard good things about Pluralsight for .NET stuff. But if you’re set on in-person learning, maybe look into General Assembly or Galvanize? They sometimes offer .NET-related workshops.

Oh, and don’t forget about the Microsoft events that happen in the city from time to time. They can be pretty informative.

What’s your learning style like? Are you more into structured classes or hands-on project-based learning? That could help us suggest some more tailored options for you!

yo, check out Hack reactor in SF! they got some sweet .NET bootcamps. I did one last year and it was lit :fire: learned a ton and met cool peeps. they focus on hands-on stuff, so you’ll be coding like crazy. bit pricey but worth it imho. good luck leveling up ur skills bro!
