Feeling uncertain after CFA Level 1: Anyone pass despite post-exam doubts?

I just wrapped up my CFA Level 1 and I’m in a weird headspace. The first part went okay but the second half left me scratching my head. Now I’m wondering if I actually messed up or if it’s just my brain playing tricks on me.

My mock exam average was pretty solid at 74% so I felt ready going in. But now I’m not so sure that matters anymore.

Has anyone else felt like they bombed it only to find out they passed? How did you deal with the wait for results without losing your mind? Any stories or advice would be super helpful right now!

Hey there ExploringStars!

I totally get where you’re coming from. Post-exam jitters are no joke, especially for something as intense as the CFA Level 1. You’re definitely not alone in feeling this way!

Have you considered that maybe the second half just felt tougher because you were already a bit drained from the first part? Our brains can play all sorts of tricks on us when we’re under pressure.

Your mock exam average of 74% is actually pretty impressive. That’s a solid foundation you built there!

I’m curious - what specific parts of the second half threw you off? Was it a particular topic or just the overall difficulty? Sometimes talking it out can help put things in perspective.

Hang in there during the wait! Maybe try to focus on some fun stuff to take your mind off it. Any plans to celebrate finishing the exam, regardless of the outcome? You’ve earned it after all that hard work!

Keep us posted when you get your results. Rooting for you! :crossed_fingers:

I can relate to your post-exam anxiety. It’s a common experience among CFA candidates. Your mock exam average of 74% is actually quite good and suggests you were well-prepared.

In my experience, it’s normal to feel uncertain after the exam, especially about the more challenging sections. The CFA Institute designs questions to be thought-provoking, which can leave even well-prepared candidates second-guessing themselves.

During the waiting period, I found it helpful to focus on other aspects of my career and personal life. Dwelling on the exam won’t change the outcome, so try to channel that energy into productive activities.

Remember, many successful CFA charterholders have felt similarly after their exams. Trust in your preparation and the effort you’ve put in. The wait is tough, but you’ve already accomplished a great deal by completing Level 1.

Yo ExploringStars, been there done that! CFA L1 is a beast. Don’t sweat it too much, the exam’s designed to mess with ur head. That 74% mock average is legit tho. I felt like crap after mine but still passed. Just chill and distract urself till results drop. Maybe hit the gym or binge some shows? You got this!
