Experiences with Digital Literacy II (ICC)

Hello everyone!

I’m planning to enroll in the Digital Literacy II modules shortly and would love to hear from anyone who has already taken these courses. I’m particularly curious about these modules:

  • DD0003: Data Visualization Techniques
  • HG2052: Digital Language, Technology, and the Online World
  • CS0888: AI and Emerging Technology Legislation

Could you please share your experiences and insights regarding course content, teaching style, and overall learning outcomes? Your feedback will be very helpful as I make my registration decision. Thank you!

hey melody, i took these modules last sem. dd0003 was intersting with its hands on visulizations, but plenty work. hg2052 gave cool discussions, while cs0888 was kinda confusing sometimes. overall, a worthwhile journey in digital skills.

Hey Melody! I’m really excited to hear about your interest in Digital Literacy II. My own experience has been quite a mixed bag but in a good way – each module brings its own vibe to the table. For instance, I found the data visualization part super engaging because it turned rough data into something that actually tells a story, although sometimes I wished there were more real-world examples to connect the dots. The module on digital language and technology really opened my eyes to how our online communication is constantly evolving, which was both fun and thought-provoking. And though the AI legislation module was overwhelming at times, it genuinely got me thinking about the ethical implications in tech today. What drew you to these particular modules? I’m curious, are you more into the creative, analytical side, or the legal and ethical aspects of digital literacy? Let’s chat about it!

I enrolled in these modules last year and found them both challenging and enlightening. The data visualization module stressed practical skills and innovative approaches, which helped me to better understand complex data sets. The digital language course provided a comprehensive look at shifting communication norms and technological influences on language, while the legislation module prompted me to consider regulatory and ethical issues in emerging technologies. I appreciated the balance between theoretical content and actionable insights, which significantly enhanced my digital competency and analytical abilities.

hey melody, i did these modules and they wer great! dd0003 was fun visualizing data, cs0888 had alot of legal jargon, and hg2052 opened up how we use tech online. overall, they helped me explore the digital world in a fresh way.

Hey Melody! I’ve been mulling over these modules myself and though I haven’t completed all of them yet, I did dip into parts of dd0003 and cs0888. I was surprised at how data visualization isn’t just number crunching but really about telling a story with pixels – it almost felt like putting together a digital puzzle! And cs0888 bumped me into some pretty deep questions about the laws around tech which I never really thought about before. I’m still exploring HG2052 and its take on how our online language evolves with technology—it’s fascinating to see how these digital trends are shaping the way we communicate every day. What are you hoping to take away from these courses? Are you more intrigued by the creative side of tech, or what drew you in the first place? Would love to hear your thoughts and if you’ve got any expectations or specific goals!
