Do you believe classroom tech is monopolizing time and space?

Observations: Substitute educators report classrooms overtaken by gadgets, replacing handwritten work and lowering focus. Could excessive screen use be undermining genuine learning engagement?

Hey, I find myself torn on this too. On one hand, tech makes some aspects of learning super accessible, but on the other, are we losing that human connection in the scramble to keep up with digital trends? I’ve seen instances where students seem more tuned into notifications than what’s actually being taught. Do you think there’s a way we can blend the benefits of screens without letting them take full control of the classroom vibe? I’m really curious about your experiences with this too. What approaches have you seen that strike a good balance?

i think tech is fine if used smartly. sometimes less screen and more face time helps keep the mood real in class. balance is key, no?
